Hey welcome to Technology News India 2020. Today we gonna be a quick impression on Microsoft Duo surface. What do you call it a mini tablet, phablet or a phone. The previous phone of Microsoft was launched in 2016 for India. let's have a closer look at this interesting Device.

1. Overview:

Actually the phone runs over andriod which is quite interesting . This is not launched in India yet. And it comes with 128Gb&256Gb Storage.

And RAM is 6Gb of RAM for both storage options.

2. Box contents:

The packaging of device is really nice. And it all covered with the Gorilla Glass protection.

• You get device itself. At very first look it really feels premium in hand and very thin from side.
• You get rubber case in order to protect your Microsoft Duo.
• Documentation and sim ejector tool.
• You get 18 watts power brick and Type-C cable in the box.

3. Physical overview:

There is Microsoft logo on front. All phone is made up of glass with protection of Gorilla Glass 5. One thing you will notice is that Device is extremely slim supposed to be 4.8 mm thick. 

It feels very premium.You will find Volume rockers,power button and single sim slot on right side.

On bottom you get Type-C charging port and there is nothing on left side. Hinge in the middle of the phone looks very premium and you can rotate it upto 360° degree.  It feels like a mini tablet.

• Having a 8.1 inches Amoled screen ( unfolded)
• Dual 5.6 inches screen on each side with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
• Powered by 855 Snapdragon Octa-core processor
• Comes with 6GB of ram 
• Storage options of 128GB & 256GB Of Storage.
• Single nano sim
• Single camera of 11 MP able to shoot videos at 4K resolution.
• Ultra thin at 4.8mm
• 3577 Mah battery with fast charging support
• 18 watts charger in the box
• Andriod 10 out of the box.

5. Features:

You can use it in single hand mode by just flipping other screen completely (traditional mode) and other screen will get shut down.

USE it like a Tab by flipping other screen at 180 degree and the screen turns on.

6. Display:

The display is Super Amoled screen.

While using app by default it will open on left side of your screen but you can customize it.

And move the picture to other side or you can view it in full mode by just centring the subject in between the hinge, and it become easier for you for reading , note-making etc.

7. Video:

For video you have option for watch it on both display at same time .

But video watching experience get ruin by hinge in between the screens. 

So it is more useful when you watch videos on single screen.

8. Dual screen functionality:

I will say Dual screen is good when you use it for multitasking . To put one app at one screen and other app on secondary screen.

A better option for reading, note-making and using for office purpose.

But not good for watching videos & photos.

9. Audio:

Talking about audio experience the voice through speaker is decent not that much loud. 

While picking call you fold one screen and audio while calling is good.

There is no 3.5 mm Headphone jack.

10. Camera:

You get only 11 MP camera. Don't expect too much from camera. It will be good for casual shots, scanning documents etc. You just flip the screen and it automatically became rear camera for your usage.

In camera sample no color boost , photos captured are natural.

11. Expected Price:

Expected price is around 1,00,000 in India. As for the colour options, the Microsoft Surface Duo phone may come in Black colours.

My conclusion:

I will say a very unique and attractive device. It is more useful for person who likes multi-tasking .

It is not for everyone Uses and requires a little bit of time to get fluid to this device. 

This is a conversation starter for you as no one will know about this device.
