 A brief about the airtel new 499 plan :

499 plan @40mbps

The newly launch plan of airtel of 499 has been added in comparison to jio basic 399 plan.However airtel has always charge little premium for its broadband in comparison to jio by providing little speed extra.

The main question in mind of people after airtel this plan is :

1)How much is the installation cost ?

2)Do we have to pay for set top box or it is free?

Cost of installation:

As we can see the installation charge directly in portal of airtel. But the charges for installation is 1000. And if you pay the bill in advance for 3 month then installation is free for e.g.if you opt for 499 plan then if you pay (499×3 +18% gst) then your installation cost is not charged.

4k set top box free?

The set top box is free written over here. But let me explain how it is free:-

1) you have to pay security deposit of 1500 .but there is also one condition too you will get 1500 back only if:

You are actively using this stram fiber set top box for 12 months otherwise no payment will be made while discontinue the service.

What about existing customer?

Existing customer who are using Airtel dth connection also have to upgrade their box. And required to pay 1500 as security depositt too.
