Phone highlights:
- Vivo is always known for their visually appealing device and talking about Vivo X60 pro, it is definitely one of the best looking smartphone in this price tag.
- No compromise is made to the performance of device as it is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC chipset.

As Indian customer always like the all-rounder phone in this price tag. As at the time of Samsung Galaxy S21 launched, it gets mixed response from the market.
And we all are waiting for the potential competitor for affordable premium Android smartphone of 2021. Oneplus 9 and Mi 11 were the obvious name that comes to our mind while we want to experience of premium at this budget.
But now I think that Vivo X60 Pro is definitely the best option right now where you can spend money if you are planning to buy phone at this category. At last year company had introduced their X series in India which dealt with to make company most premium device in the market over the Vivo 20 lineup.
Talking about this year company has launched 3 smartphones till now under the X series which are Vivo X60, Vivo X60 pro and Vivo X60 Pro+. All of the smartphone are packed with the impressive features like cameras with gimbal stabilization.

You have to absolutely appreciate the efforts of vivo for making such beautiful smartphone. The phone is really great when it comes to the design, build and overall feel. It comes with the matte finish on glass rear back with anti-fingerprint coating on top.
Despite the fact that it comes with the anti-fingerprint coating, the rear panel still manages to catches few fingerprint smudges but they are comparatively less with other phones with rear glass back panel.
Vivo offers you two colour variants i.e. Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue. Both colours are very pleasing to the eyes and the rear panel colours get changes when hit with light at various angles. The rear is packed with Three-Rear camera setup and LED flash on the top left corner with Zeiss branding.
Talking about the physical aspect, here too Vivo has done a great job regarding the weight of smartphone which is 179 grams and the thickness is also just 7.69mm. And here is the surprise for you the black variant device is even more slimmer at 7.59mm.
To give you a clear image, let me tell you that OnePlus 9 thickness is 8.7mm. The sleekness of device really makes it easy to grip and ideal for usage with one hand.
At front the Vivo X60 Pro comes with curved sides which enhance the look of the device. At top there is tiny punch hole cut which embed the selfie shooter camera. The bezels of the screen can be seen but have been so thin which won’t really disturb your viewing experience. Additionally you get in-display fingerprint scanner.
The power button and volume key are on the right side of the device which are easily accessible. On bottom you have Type-c port, speaker grill and option of SIM tray. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack instead you get a case, Type-C to 3.5mm connector inside the box.
Vivo X60 Pro display review:
The vivo here has provide you stunning display too with its beautiful design phone. It features 6.5 inches fHD+ [1080 X 2376 Pixels] AMOLED display with 19:8:9 aspect ratio complemented with 120 Hz refresh rate and 240Hz of touch sampling rate. Talking about the display quality it is excellent. The screen responsiveness and colour calibration is on point. You can clearly see icons, texts clearly from various angles.

You also have smart option of the switch between 60Hz, 120Hz refresh rate. Also if you are confused about when to choose which refresh rate then you can set it into the adaptive refresh rate which switches between this two modes depending upon the on-screen task of the device.
We know the fact that AMOLED display has tendency to over compensate for contrast by saturating visuals which we clearly observe on the Redmi note 10 Pro Max. but we also know that Xiaomi phones are positioned at a very aggressive price and there is no point to compare it with the Vivo X60 Pro.
When we put both the display face to face for comparison, we noticed that Vivo X60 Pro colour remains more accurate than Xiaomi.
Vivo X60 Pro cameras review:
The main thing for which vivo is known for in the market. Even some of the Budget friendly device of Vivo have solid image capturing quality. The Vivo X60 Pro follows the legacy and offer a camera system which is definitely one of the best camera system in this affordable premium range device. The Vivo X60 pro also form the partnership between the Vivo and Carl Zeiss to improve its cameras even more.
The vivo X60 Pro comes with Triple rear camera setup which specification are as follows:
- 48 MP primary sensor with f/1.48 lens
- 13 MP secondary sensor
- 13 MP tertiary sensor

For selfies, video calls and meetings, you got 32 MP selfie camera with a f/2.45 aperture.
The camera UI offered here is simple and easy for anyone to use. But you get different options for photography. Apart from the usual photo modes you get option of more like Live photo, Astro, Pro-sports and long exposure. For selfie even you have option of different filters and light effects.
Talking about the camera performance. Its excellent on most scenarios where you can take great images with minimum efforts. Camera offers good auto focus, colour accuracy and dynamic range. Macro shots and ultra-wide shots are also good, where auto focus play a key role to take a steady image. Vivo X60 Pro offers one of the best Night mode available on any Android smartphone, where it maintains good contrast ratio and capture sharp details.
Another major highlight in the cameras of Vivo X60 series is the in-built gimbal stabilization, which allows you to capture the steadier videos without any external equipment. Vivo X60 pro can shoot upto 4k video recording with 30 and 60fps.
Vivo X60 Pro performance:
Vivo has listen to the customer feedback where they complained about Vivo using the average processor even on some of its premium range device. But now Vivo has changed and offers Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC in Vivo X60 Pro. The Snapdragon 870 is slightly improved version of the Snapdragon 865 and 865+.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon is a powerful processor and capable of handling any task or heavy games like Call of Duty Mobile, Asphalt 9.
Further if you want to increase your device even more then Vivo has interesting concept of Virtual RAM. Where you can add up 3GB RAM to your device for further increased performance in case of need. The Vivo X60 runs on the Funtouch OS V11.1 based on the Android 11.
Vivo X60 Pro issue:
The Funtouch OS has improved a lot in past few year but the catch here is that a number or preinstalled application. Some of the applications can’t be uninstalled and tend to send you push notifications which can be irritating or annoys you several times.
Another issue for you can be the single speakers which is a bit strange for premium device. As nowadays we are consuming a lot of content on smartphone and dual speaker surely have helped in increasing our multimedia experience. Also there is no IP rating.
The smartphone has a single option to sell i.e. 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage variant which is priced at Rs 49,990/-
Vivo X60 Pro Battery Review:
Vivo X60 Pro offers 4,200 mAh battery, which is honestly not that big for a device which runs on the AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The battery can drain really quick and maybe you need to charge your phone at least once before the day ends.
But to compensate with smaller battery pack the Vivo provides you a 33W Flash charger within the box. However, there is no support of wireless charging for the device.
My conclusion:
Definitely the Vivo X60 Pro is one of the best device in the affordable premium device. Definitely, Vivo X60 Pro is a threat to OnePlus9. As OnePlus has missed some points on the OnePlus9 which can force the potential buyer to check out the OnePlus9 competitor. Vivo has chance to capture to some of the OnePlus market share in the mid-range category.
Obviously no device is prefect, Vivo X60 Pro has some shortcomings too like software. But if you are okay with shortcomings then there is pro as well: Design, display, cameras and performance. At the price tag of Rs 49,990 it gives solid competition to the OnePlus 9.
Tell me in comments section which phone will you prefer Vivo X60 Pro or the OnePlus9.S
