1) Jio vs Airtel Marketing startegy:-

Airtel works on postpaid(Advance rental method) i.e you have to pay in advance to use its service. Airtel provide a bill at month end. JIO works on prepaid basis that means just recharge and use that plan for that particular month.

2) Installation cost:-

Currently JIO is asking for Rs.2500 for new connection. And providing a month free wifi service. It includes a free router , Set top box (charges Rs.1500 as security deposit). So remaining 1000 Rs. Will be charged as installation cost. No wiring charges included.In case of Airtel if you choose out for plan of Rs 799 or above for three months then installation cost is free in some cities. Otherwise they will charge you Rs.1000 for installation and wiring charges will be Rs 8/10 per meter after exceeding 100 meters cable length.

3) Jio and Airtel Data cap:

Both jio and Airtel claim that they provide truly unlimited data. But let me tell you that jio data cap isfixed on the 3.3 TB while Airtel provide 33 GB extra data in comparison to jio i.e. 3333 GB. Afterwards exceeding data cap Both jio and airtel wifi reduced to 1 mbps.

4) Unlimited call?

So it may be confusing for lot of people here . How you can use free voice in Jio and Airtel ? So let me clear you that company is going to allot you landline Number through which you can port your landline to router and use this feature. 

You can call through any user whether VI,BSNL,JIO,AIRTEL with no fup limit. But they will not provide instrument within box.

Jio basic plan start with Rs.399 which is value for money plan and provide good speed too.* Airtel basic plan start with Rs.499 which give you 10 Mbps more speed in comparison to jio i.e. 40 Mbps and subscription of Airtel xstream.

6) Next plan

*Jio have Rs.699 plan it provide 100 Mbps speed .And truly unlimited data and calling.

*Airtel xstream have Rs. 799 plan and provide speed of 100 Mbps. And truly unlimited data, calling and subscription of Airtel xstream.

7) Rs999 plan

*Jio offers 150 Mbps speed and subscription to 11 Ott apps(Amazon,zee5,Altbalaji,voot etc) . This plan also include Jio Tv+ which mean u can access live Tv feature.With truly unlimited data and calling. 

*Airtel offers 2000 Mbps speed and subscription to three ott apps.(xstream,zee5,1year amazon prime)..With truly unlimited data and calling. 

8) RS.1499 Plan

* Jio offer 300 Mbps speed and subscription to 12 ott contents including Netflix basic(480p).With truly unlimited data and calling.

 *Airtel offer 300 Mbps speed and subscription to above mentioned 3 Ott Content.With truly unlimited data and calling. 

9) Rs.3999 Plan

*Jio offers 1 Gbps  speed and subscription to 12 Oty contents.with Netflix standard.With truly unlimited data and calling. 

*Airtel offers 1 Gbps speed and subscription to 3 Ott content.With truly unlimited data and calling.

 The plan mentioned above is without gst Add 18% Gst to above plan.

10) Long Term Benefits

In case of airtel :* Advanced payment of 3 month = No installation charges.

* Advanced payment of 6 month = 7.5% Discount.*

Advanced payment of 12 months = 15% Discount.In case of Jio:

* Advanced payment of 6 month = 15 days free.

* Advanced payment of 12 months = 30 days free.

11) Set-Top-Box confusion:

Let me clearly tell you that . You can't watch live TV on any of them whether it's jio or Airtel basic plan.

*In jio you have to chose 999 plan or above to get support of Jio Tv+ in order to view live tv and it will run only through your wifi router.

12) Conclusion:

Atlast conclusion i think Jio fiber will be better and valuable in comparison to Airtel. But Airtel also provide fast service and speed bur charge little premium too.Let me know your thoughts and which will you choose.
